Solid Entertainment Presents

WELLINGTON | BAR BODEGA |13 NOVEMBER 2009

ANOTHER...... BITES TOUR 2009

The BUZZCOCKS are quite simply one of THE most important and influential bands of all time. BUZZCOCKS are one of THE founding fathers of punk rock, THE pioneers of independent recordlabels, and have released the greatest stream of punk pop singles of all time.

In March 1978 the BUZZCOCKS releasedtheir debut album Another Music in a Different Kitchen and, inthe process, created the template for pop-punk and a thousand imitatorseverywhere. Six months later, BUZZCOCKS released LoveBites the more progressive but equally infectious follow-up thatreached #13 on the UK charts.

In January 2009 BUZZCOCKS announcedthe ‘Another...... Bites' tour performing both classic albums intheir entirety and selling out an entire UK tour. Add in some bonusnon-album tracks and you have the perfect Buzzcocks set-list,the perfect gig.

Solid Entertainment areproud to announce the BUZZCOCKS: Another..... Bites tourwill be calling in at Bodega in Wellington on Friday November 13th. Following theirappearance at Southern Amp festival in Christchurch on 12th November this willbe a once in a lifetime chance to hear this set andsee the band in such intimate surroundings.

Across the two albums aresome of the genuine classics of the punk era including OrgasmAddict, What Do I Get, Autonomy, Oh Shit, Fast Cars, Get On Your Own,Sixteen Again, Just Lust and the crossover anthem EverFallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldnt've).

Playing loud and fast, like guys half their age, we'retreated to pop-punk gold in abundance. In fact, with Boredom, Ever Fallen inLove, I Don't Mind and plenty more, there seems to be too many brilliant songs- add co-front person Steve Diggle's wild stage gyrations, arm swinging andpointing, and the evening's tumultuous (erm) climax Orgasm Addict leaves thecrowd exhausted but thrilled.                                                                                                MOJO MAGAZINE JUNE 2009

Original Buzzcocks,Pete Shelley & Steve Diggle will be joined by bassist Chris Remington anddrummer Danny Farrant and the magic and thrill of these two albums will beheard in their entirety. It's the spirit of punk, it's the history that madethe future, it's a a dream gig. DO NOT MISS!
